All of the new replica builds coming out with NBA 2K23 have sent the 2K community into an absolute frenzy and as you create these player builds, the player's nickname will appear as the name of the build on your player card, whether you're in the park bent, the city, the wreck. But while these build names are super dope, the attributes aren't that great and you could probably make something better on your own MyPlayer with the right thresholds. Today we rank all these replica builds in a list of levels in terms of how usable and fun they can actually be in terms of the park or wreck so you can choose the best one.
NBA 2K23 Top Replica Builds Rankings and Leaderboards - Best Rare Builds on NBA 2K23
NBA 2K23 has only been out in the wild for a few days and players have already dug up a long and growing list of special replicas of all-time greats. These builds are unique and rare builds in NBA 2K23 that must be made in a very specific way, even down to the build number. Let's jump right in with this complete ranking of the best replica builds on NBA 2K23 (shared by NBA2KLab).
S Tier replica builds on NBA 2K23
Chauncey Billup
Then we built "Mr. Big Shot replica he's in the S tier because of his versatile abilities. He's really good he's a good shooter with great positioning and perimeter defense at 90 and to top it off he's got great physical attributes with 80 strength and is the only point guard of these replica builds that has enough strength to unlock even bronze bully.
Richard Hamilton
Then we have Rip Richard Hamilton who has the second highest three-ball with an 88 and has great playmaking thresholds to unlock some decent packs. His finishing also includes a 70 driving dunk and an 85 layup to be a well-rounded scorer. Now he has a good defense with an 85 perimeter defense and 70 steals with a wingspan of 6'11 and while his physique isn't great and slightly below average he is still very usable which is why this well rounded replica makes it to the S tier .
Hakeem Olajuwon
Then we have Hakeem "The Dream" and he appears in the S tier as his paint stamping skills will be hard to stop and he can actually shoot quite a bit compared to the other PGs on this list. Not only that, but his internal defense and rebound are also great, a solid choice for the S level.
Nikola Jokic
"The Joker" won't blow your mind with its finish inside, but it's still more than solid. But what sets it up to a level is its exceptionally high pass accuracy compared to the other PGs. Not only that but he has the best mid range with an 89 and his defense is pretty bad all around which makes sense but that's why we don't have him in the S tier.
Cousins of Demarcus
Off the rip, Baby Boogie takes the S low with his 97 standing dunk and the best shooting of all the PGs on this list with an 80 mid range and an 83 point. His defense aside from the perimeter is great and he has a great rebound , making it an easy choice for the S-level.
A Tier Replica Builds List 2K23
Chris Paulus
He can shoot great with a midi score of 91 and a three point score of 82 making him a viable point guard. His style of play is great and even gets a hall of fame, quick first step, he's also one of the better defenders of all the pg's here. But since it's quite small with below average acceleration, we have it in the A tier instead of S when it comes to the replica builds.
Stephen Curry
We built the Stephen Curry "chief" and he has a great shooting and driving layup, he's your typical game shot with usable defense on an 80 perimeter and unlocks the curry slide in all elite dribbling packs, although you haven't seen his dribbling style since can get more he only has 87 speed with ball. A solid replica build that you can definitely have some fun with.
Vince Carter
Next we have vince's replica, which makes for a very fun, well-rounded build. We have him in the A tier, he has a 96 driving dunk and an 83 point with enough playmaking for decent sigs, slightly below average defense but still has a 72 perimeter to hold your own. His speed and acceleration are both 80 with a 91 vertical and he would be in the S tier if he defended or played a little better. The half-human, half-awesome build would be great fun in the park or even on the wreck, so that's why we've got it in A-level.
Shawn Marion
Then we have "the matrix" and he makes it to the A tier because he is a very well rounded wing, he has pro contacts and above average shooting with an 83 midrange and an 81 three point. His position play isn't good at all, but given his role, he's not much of a possession anyway, making his defense great across the board. He has inside defense, perimeter, rebound and small block with 85 steal and actually surprisingly solid physical attributes.
Paul Pierce
Then we have "The Truth" Paul Pierce and he's in the A tier because of his 91 three-point shot, which is easily the highest of any winger. It has an 80 round handle for some good packs and a very solid finish. Being 6'7'' with a wingspan of 6'11 and a girth of 87 makes for a solid defender as one of the best-rounded replicas to date. He is a bit slower when it comes to physique and lacks speed with the ball but can still get some dribbling packs to improve that otherwise he would be in S level.
Clyde Drexler
Another A tier wing player is Clyde "The Glide", actually has a great build and it makes the A tier for how well rounded and fun this build can actually be. Equipped with a 93 driving dunk and all elite contacts, he is a great finisher and can be a consistent shooter with an 84 center defense and even a 77 three-point. He has a decent but slightly underpowered style of play and a solid all round defence. With better speed and acceleration, it would definitely be in the S tier.
Shawn Kemp
The "Reign Man" Kemp makes it to the A tier with his 93 driving dunk, which is the best of all PGs, making this build quite unique. He has absolutely no shooting ability, which definitely limits his scoring ability, but he has the fastest ball speed of these PGs and has a very well-rounded defense with great rebounding and also the best physical attributes of the big men. He can most likely score at will in the paint, landing him in the A tier despite his non-shooting.
List of B-level NBA 2K23 replicas
Gilbert Arenas
"Agent Zero" replica build is very fast with its speed and acceleration and is one of the better play shot options of all pg's with great shooting, 92 ball handle for the elite six and it has 75 dunk which is one of the higher ratings from the point guards. However, he lacks defense and that's why we have him in the B tier.
Gary Payton
"The Glove" build clearly has great defense with 90 perimeter and a 91 steal with a 60 wingspan for a point guard, and with the associated physical attributes, however, has little to no driving dunk with a solid layup to make a number of decent packs to unlock and its game-making is actually borderline elite. If you're making a point guard to play great defense and get some steals and hit a midi every now and then, he's definitely a good choice.
Penny Hardway
Then we have "Lil Penny" who has the best rounded finish among the point guards in this list. Especially considering his 83 dunk and 6'7'' stature, serviceable shooter with 77 mid-range and 3-point with great play, with 91 ball handling, but due to his low defense and average physical condition we put him in the B tier in instead of the A layer.
Luka Doncic
Next we have "The Matador" and he has slightly better shooting than Penny, but an even worse defense. He can play great and has enough ball handle to unlock the gold clamp breaker and some really good packs but his speed and acceleration are below par and he doesn't even have an 83 point on his replica build so we have Luka in the B- level.
Kobe Bryant
This young "Mamba" build goes down to the B tier and while it's finished great enough inside for pro contacts and all layout packs, it has good midi with an 86, but only a 71 three point, which would be tough to be consistent in this year's 2K. His position play is good enough for some packs, but still lacking for a Kobe build, especially with speed with ball. His girth is an 87, which is pretty good and it's a well-rounded build, but we do have him in the B tier.
Demar Derozan
Derozan makes it to the B tier with his great finishing and dunking ability and also has a great mid range with an 87 center, 77 three point which is better than most of these wing builds. His position play is okay, but not great, and his defense is pretty bad, although he has a 77 perimeter, "Deebo" definitely makes for a good slash build with decent shooting ability.
Kawhi Leonard
Then we also have Kawhi "the claw" in the B tier for his highest in-class perimeter defense among these wingers with a 92 perimeter and an insane 7'3 wingspan that's about the same as many of the centers on this list, but he only has a shank of 77, which is not exactly like the claw. He's fairly well-rounded, but not great in any area except defense, making him a B-level replica built in NBA 2K23.
Magic Johnson
Then we have "magic" and his attributes besides position play are definitely lacking and even his speed with the ball is pretty bad the shooting will be hard to be consistent with low 70's shooting attributes that said he has decent defense with 80 outline and 80 interior which will probably work well as 6'9 and about average physical condition. But since he's so tall with 90 close shot and driving layup, he'll be solid against other shorter PGs, giving him a decent build. His unique style for his height definitely puts him at a level in the B category.
Tim Duncan
"The Big Fundamental" makes it to the B tier for its well-rounded build that has everything but three-point and play-making. He has the best internal defense and blocking ability of any big man and he has a maintainable 70 mid-range and he has a 98 post check. So the big base makes sense to be in the B tier.
C Tier replica builds on NBA 2K23
Allen Iverson
Next, it's hard to justify "The Answer" any higher due to a shootout and substandard finish. If you're good with layups although he can be effective in that area his physique is top notch in the pg's but he would essentially be used as a cutting playmaker which is hard to use as he's six feet long without firing.
Jerry West
Then we built Jerry West "the logo" replica, he can shoot very well and defend very well with a 90 steal, 87 girth which would be really good especially with his 69 wingspan. He also has solid position play and he's one of the more complete point guard replicas, which is why he's in the A tier.
De'Aaron Fox
Then we have "swipa" in the C-tier, but he's the best playmaker of all guards and can certainly finish the room effectively with both layups and dunks. But he has a 69 three-point shot, so we have to bump him to the C-level with that and his defense is also one of the worst. However, he is very fast and can potentially be justified in the B tier depending on your playstyle.
Dwyane Wade
Next we have "flash rare dwyane wade build" and the shooting is pretty bad but he has a great driving layup and great defense with the 610 wingspin but his driving dunk is actually pretty low for dwyane wade. He'll work well as a chopping defender with a little playmaking, but low shooting and low riding dunking puts this replica more in the C-tier.
Michael Jordan
If you were upset before you'd probably be even more upset by this one Michael Jordan has great finishing and gets elite contacts on this build but we've got him in the C tier because he's got a 53 3 point that severely limits his effectiveness, he has a solid but not great defense, with good stealing and good physical and playmaking that is similar to Kobe's, but with those three points it's hard to justify him on another level.
Zion Williamson
Next we have zion, he has a great finish with a 93 dunk and 94 layup. So if you're looking for a cool construction name with a lot of finishing touches, he's definitely your guy. He shoots, his 70s across the board and his playmaking is no more than okay, but he falls seriously short on his defense and will overcook in any game mode, as he has a 51 perimeter and 55 interior, making "Zanos" in the C layer.
Larry Johnson
Put Larry in the C tier because of his nickname "Grandmama". On a side note he has a solid finish inside with great standing dunk and good power for hall of fame bully but he is very disappointing in many of the other categories and while he has a decent interior and speed his other attributes are just not enough to warrant placing it even higher.
Dominique Wilkins
Then we have the "Human Highlight Film" and we put him in the C tier because even though he has elite contacts the rest of his build is lacking with bad shooting and terrible playmaking and while his defense is just okay he's just Okay. He has no other good qualities, he has solid physical attributes, but he does not have enough other good attributes to be higher.
Kevin Garnett
Kevin Garnett moves down to the C-tier as his replica build doesn't really stun us in any area and while his defense is solid, it's only good when we think of "The Big Ticket". He has an 88 mid range and good finishing inside, but rebound is a little below average compared to the other guys, so that's why we have him in the C tier.
Dennis Rodman
Now if you're playing strictly defensively and looking for rebound, "the worm's" build will be more A level with its 99 rebounding. But since his other areas lack so much besides his great standing dunk, it's hard to put him anywhere else on this list since he's so one-dimensional.
